About the role

You will own meaningful scope in AI Research. You will partner across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM to ship value fast.

What you’ll do

• Design and evaluate models for ranking, generation, or routing.
• Build datasets, training pipelines, and evaluation harnesses.
• Translate research into shipped product features with Engineering.
• Apply safety and privacy best practices to model and data work.
• Publish internal reports and demos to inform roadmap decisions.
• Build offline and online evals for model quality and safety.

First 90 days

• 30d: reproduce a baseline and ship an offline eval harness
• 60d: deliver an improvement on a key metric with a controlled experiment
• 90d: launch a model or component to production with safety checks

What you’ll bring

• Relevant experience in a similar role within SaaS or platforms
• Ability to turn ambiguity into clear plans and shipped work
• Strong collaboration across functions and comfort with data
• Clear written communication and simple, practical thinking
• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Compensation and benefits

About the team

• Build the core of HoopAI’s customer platform used across EMEA.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Security to ship resilient systems with clear SLAs.
• Operate in a CI/CD environment with trunk-based development and robust observability.
• Balance iteration speed with reliability, testing, and long-term maintainability.

What you'll do

• Ship iteratively with measurable impact and clear owners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate crisply.
• Own quality: tests, observability, and performance instrumentation.
• Design, build, and review production code across the stack.
• Document decisions and tradeoffs for future maintainers.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
